What if Cameras were Not Invented…

I know, I know, this is so hard to imagine…

‘Camera’ has become the most important and inevitable part of our daily lives. Not a single day goes by, where you do not use your camera on your phone. Isn’t it?

It might be for capturing some beautiful sunsets, or to simply take a picture of the dish that you prepared, or for randomly taking snaps for your social media accounts…. And if not for on this, you simply open your camera for checking yourself through the front camera!

Can you imagine going on a vacation without a ‘camera’, Lol.. few people might just cancel the trip in that case!! funny isn’t it? We did not realize when did this small gadget become a big part of our lives…

Going back into the time, what if cameras would not have been invented? Would life be easier or difficult? Of course, we would not be able to capture the things we want, or wouldn’t be able to save memories in the form of photographs…but don’t you think we, people, would start living ‘in the moment’ if camera disappears from our lives?

We are so busy capturing photographs and videos on our camera, that we forget to see and enjoy the life things happening around... People have got addicted to social media and getting good clicks for their account. I am not against it, but in this process, people often fail to ‘feel the moment’ which they are capturing….

I remember, it’s quite recent, one morning my mom came running to me shouting- wake up, wake up there is a big rainbow out there…I instantly woke up, reached out for my mobile phone, of course for the camera, and went running to the balcony. By then, I had already opened my camera… The rainbow was beautiful,or at least my photos say so… I tried searching for the ‘perfect filter’ to click the photo on… This weird process continued for about 10 minutes till the rainbow started fading away… I was very happy, I had got the best pictures. My friend, after seeing those pictures on Instagram commented — “ beautiful!! So sad I missed watching it…”

It was then, that I realized, I too had missed watching it live….

If cameras would not have been invented, we would capture memories through our eyes and save them in our hearts…

We would learn to cherish the moment we are living in and would enjoy to our fullest because ‘that moment’ is all that we would have…

Many accidents could be preventable which happen because people are so engrossed in taking photos that they do not realize what is going on around them… If cameras would not have been invented, nobody would be in a pressure of taking nice aesthetic photos for their social media, nobody would be discouraged with how they look or what they do…

We would go on a concert and enjoy every moment as we feel it, instead of just taking so called perfect photos and posting them everywhere.

Guys, what is more miserable than not eating your favourite dish at your favourite restaurant when it is steaming hot? Most of the people out there, have not experienced this joy because their intention is not just eating the food…They first want to take some 50 photos of it and then finally eat it when it is no longer hot, but then also, the focus won’t be on eating… It will always be on simultaneously editing those pictures and posting them…

This world would be a far better and pure place if cameras were not yet invented. We would live more naturally and would actually enjoy and treasure the ‘little things’ in our lives…
